'Pique-Fleurs Banquise' by Cécile Daladier

£920.00

Memory is in a way at the heart of my work. These pieces link to memory through the evocative power of water, and through the flowers themselves: the flowers of celebrations, weddings, birthdays, funerals, which celebrate or honour memories, disappearances, reunions and parties. But also, the flowers of everyday life – blooming and fading, fugitive. The water itself is fugitive, evaporating and fleeing, caught up in the passage of time that sweeps us away.

Materials: Raku ceramics
Techniques: Hand-built
